DO YOU HAVE PAPER ENTRY FORMS?

NO. All routines must be entered online via DanceBUG.

WHAT DATE DO I USE TO ESTABLISH A PERFORMERS AGE?

Age as of January 1.

SHOULD I ROUND UP OR DOWN WHEN AVERAGING AGES FOR DUOS, TRIOS AND GROUPS?

Simply drop the decimal point and any numbers that follow when averaging (thereby rounding down). For example: The average age of your group comes out to be 12.8. Drop the decimal point (.8) and your group falls in the 11-12 age division.

WHAT IS THE COMPETITION ENTRY DEADLINE?

Entries must be processed online with payment in full no later than January 10, 2025. However, entries are accepted on a “first come, first served” basis and may be limited due to available performance time. You are encouraged to enter as early as possible. Note, also that entries are not considered “received” until paid in full and thus unpaid entries may be bumped by paid entries entered at a later date.

WHAT IS THE EARLY BIRD DEADLINE?

EDC will continue to offer Early Bird Rates during the upcoming 2025 season.  To secure our Early Bird rates, all routines must be entered online and full payment must be submitted no later than Friday, November 1, 2024. Please keep this in mind if you require to submit more than one (1) e-transfer payment. Checks must also be received prior to this deadline and not just mailed by the deadline. ALL payments must be received in full on or before this deadline to be eligible for our Early Bird rates. Rates will increase in DanceBUG at 12:00am on November 2, 2024, and will not be modified or discounted. 

DO YOU ACCEPT CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS?

YES. Credit card payments are accepted with a 3.5% service fee applied. 

WILL I BE ABLE TO TAKE PHOTOS OR VIDEO OF MY CHILD’S PERFORMANCE?

NO. Audience members are prohibited from taking photos or videotaping at all times during the competition, including, without limitation, stage performances, classes, and warm-ups. Violation of this policy may result in the disqualification of the dancer associated with the relevant audience member. This rule will be strictly enforced. Photography and video are only allowed during awards presentations. We have put this rule in place to protect studio choreography and costuming rights. More importantly, we enforce this rule to protect children from having their images used inappropriately and without consent. We will always have a professional photographer and videographer available to accommodate your desire for photos and videos. Media packages are included in your registration fees. 

CAN I ENTER “OPTIONAL ENTRIES” (PHOTOGENIC, OVERALL ENTERTAINER) AT THE DOOR?

NO. We do not accept these entries at the door. All optional entries need to be pre-registered and paid during the online registration process via DanceBUG.

CAN I JUMP OFF THE FRONT OF THE STAGE DURING MY PERFORMANCE?

NO. This rule has been put into effect for the safety of the performers and audience members.

WHEN AND WHERE DO I TURN IN MY PHOTO(S) FOR THE PHOTOGENIC CONTEST?

Photo submissions should be submitted by email to office@extremedancechallenge.com prior to the start of an event. Remember, the photogenic contest is for individuals only (one person per photo). And, the person entering must perform on stage at some point during the competition in a solo, duo/trio, group, line or production routine.

IS THERE A TIME LIMIT FOR SETTING UP PROPS?

YES. Production props must be in place within five (5) minutes of the time after the prior routine has cleared the stage. All large props for solo, duo/trio, group or line routines must be in placed within one (1) minute and removed within one (1) minute. All small props for solo, duo/trio, group or line routines must be in place within thirty (30) seconds and removed within thirty (30) seconds. You MUST notify EDC at the time of registration or by the draft schedule process if a routine will have small or large props. Please see our Information Package for spcific rules regarding props.

IS LIQUID ALLOWED ON STAGE?

NO. Liquid of any kind is prohibited on stage. This includes water, juice, pop, paint, hairspray, fog, etc during performances, as well as during award sessions.
